Why SoluNova?
Following years of intensive research and development, our team has pioneered an innovative, eco-friendly compound designed to set a new standard for biodegradable packaging in the market.
Our compound not only replaces resin in converting processes but also stands out for its exceptional environmental benefits. Its remarkable strength enables significant material reduction — aligning with the core waste management principle of minimising waste at its source.
Our higher tensile strength allows down-gauging up to 50% for material savings.

SoluNova's technology meets rigorous international standards for biodegradability, compostability, recycling compatibility, and food safety.

Regulatory Compliance
SoluNova's PP611 compound has been independently assessed and confirmed compliant with the world's most stringent food contact, chemical safety, and packaging regulations.
PP611 complies with EU Regulation No 10/2011 as amended — suitable for dry and fatty foods, long-term storage, hot fill, for films up to 15 microns. NIAS risk assessment completed with no hazards identified.
The base resin complies with FDA specifications under 21 CFR 177.1670 for dry and oily/fatty foods, long-term storage, and hot fill conditions (Conditions of Use C to G).
All components are registered under REACH or are exempt. PP611 contains none of the 253 Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) as updated by ECHA in 2026. No ANNEX XIV or XVII restricted substances.
PP611 contains no PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) as intentionally-added ingredients, and no heavy metals (cadmium, mercury, lead, chromium VI) — compliant with EU Regulation 2025/40 on Packaging & Packaging Waste.
Fully compliant with EU Directive 2011/65/EU and 2015/863. None of the restricted substances (lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, PBB, PBDE, or phthalates) are intentionally added.
PP611 is not classified as hazardous under Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP/GHS). No allergens, no BPA/BPB/BPS, no CMR substances, no styrene, no PVC/PVDC — clean material chemistry throughout.
